Students learn the basics of drawing while experimenting with new media including markers, colored pencils, chalk and oil pastels, watercolor and much more. Learning With Legos, “Simple Machines” Theme
Simple Machines pre-robotic kits were developed by Lego and are perfect for any child that has an interest in science, technology, engineering, math, building and inventing or working with their hands. The problem solving, hands-on activities will help develop students’ understanding of basic physical and applied science and mechanical principals such as gears, pulleys, levers, wheels and axles. Each lesson challenges students to investigate and understand the operation of simple and compound machines found in everyday life. This is accomplished through observation, reasoning, prediction and critical thinking.
Dates: Sept. 4, 11, 18, 25, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. Tuition is $100 for the 9 wks.
Monart Drawing, African Animals Theme
DRAW A ZEBRA ON SCRATCH ART PAPER!
If you like to learn about animals this is the class for you! Students will learn how to draw lots of interesting African animals including a rhino, cheetah, giraffe, crocodile, flamingo, zebra and lion. We’ll use stylized and realistic drawing techniques to bring these unique creatures to life! In this session, students will use collage, painting, drawing and scratch art, whilst having fun exploring the African savannah.
Dates: Nov. 6, 13, 20; Dec. 4, 11, 18; Jan. 8, 15. Tuition is $90 for the 8 wks.
Learning With Legos, “Amazing Architecture” Theme
Cities, bridges, museums and parks oh my! Master Builders unite to recreate different architectural wonders from around the globe! Weekly challenges will encourage your young makers to work together to complete a replica of works designed by world famous architects. We will look at various types of architecture and the styles and designs of famous architects such as Frank Loyd Wright, Gaudi and Zaha Hadid. Students will explore potential design solutions and prototyping them. Our young architects will draw floor plans, build model homes, collage Hundertwasser Houses, create city-scapes and much more. Your young scientist will love learning about our world and places around the globe in these hands-on Lego lessons.

Monart Drawing, Medieval Times
PAINT WITH ACRYLIC AND MAKE A CLAY NECKLACE!
Kings, Queens, dragons and knights oh my! Students will love learning about this interesting time period and creating art based on what life was like in the Middle Ages. Projects include a clay amulet necklace, drawing dragons and a knight, learn facial proportions to draw royalty, draw a realistic castle with pastel, use mixed media and draw a wizard, paint a juggling jester and use gold paint for details. Students will also enjoy hearing traditional stories, dragon tales, fairy tales and learning about castle life.
Dates: Apr. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; May 7, 14. Tuition is $80 for the 7 weeks.
