MONART DRAWING CLASSES AT RHRC

Students learn the basics of drawing while experimenting with new media including markers, colored pencils, chalk and oil pastels, watercolor and much more.  This guided step-by-step method improves visual perception skills by breaking down the subject matter for children to see and follow along. Class Meets Mon. 3:45-4:45 at RHRC, Ages: 1-6th gr.

 

FIRST SESSION: ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS

FUN HANDS-ON PROJECTS! USE CLAY!                                   

Go back in time for an in-depth look at different civilizations including Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Aztec, Norse and several more!  Lean about the culture, art, people and traditions of these ancient, sophisticated people while using fun media such as air-dry clay, collage, fiber arts, acrylic paint, oil and chalk pastel.  We might get a little messy each week in this hands-on art experience!

Dates: Sept. 12, 19, 26; Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24. 

Tuition is $85 for the seven weeks.

THIRD SESSION: CUTEST ANIMALS ON EARTH

PAINT WITH ACRYLICS ON CANVAS!

We have found the most adorable, fluffy, smiley and sweet animals on the planet and squeezed them into a seven week art session.  Be prepared for CUTENESS OVERLOAD!  Projects include an Axolotl, fennec fox, African helmeted turtle, fairy penguin, pygmy hippo, saiga and more!  Students will enjoy lots of water media such as watercolor paint, watercolor pencils or crayons and liquid graphite sticks.

Dates: Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27; Mar. 6, 20, 27. 

Tuition is $85 for the seven weeks. 

FOURTH SESSION: HARRY POTTER

MAKE A COLLAGE OWL AND CUSTOM WAND!

If you like the world of magic join us to draw, paint and make sculptures inspired by characters from Harry Potter!  Projects include a character sculpture, drawing and painting wizards, mythical creatures, animal pets, make super fun crafts from movie props and customize your own Patronus.

Dates: Apr. 3, 10, 17, 24; May 1, 8, 15. 

Tuition is $85 for the seven weeks.
