SCIENCE CLUB FOR CURIOUS KIDS
Science Club is ideal for students interested in science, math, engineering, literature, creating, exploring, analyzing data, building and working with others that have similar interests. Each semester will bring a new theme and involves a series of core concept ideas including an engineering component where students will have the opportunity to test and design a prototype. Additionally, students will practice working both independently and as a team in order to foster collaboration, communication, and social skills. Work from class will come home and photos from class will be posted on Facebook each week so parents can enjoy seeing their kids in action. We hope to see your curious kid in classes soon! *Please send a peanut and nut free snack to school with your child each week.

Learning With Legos at Meadowlark
Weekly Engineering Challenges!
Calling all builders, makers and creative kids! Enroll your child in after school Learning with Legos classes to enhance their creativity and engineering skills. Fun weekly challenges will encourage your young makers to work together to create a prototype, test it and problem solve any mistakes. Students will be encouraged to use a “Growth Mindset,” meaning, don’t give up, learn from your mistakes and trying new things is fun!
Projects include a Rube Goldberg inspired marble run, design a load bearing bridge, build and race a variety of vehicles, invent wind powered futuristic structures, create a maze for our Botley robot, learn about chain reactions, assemble space ships, zip lines and more! Students can also look forward to re-creating their Lego ideas to take home with recyclables and “junk art” materials from our stash at The Art Park. *Please send a nut and peanut free snack with your child each week.
