FIRST SESSION: AFRICAN ANIMALS
DRAW A ZEBRA ON SCRATCH ART PAPER!
If you like to learn about animals this is the class for you! Students will learn how to draw lots of interesting African animals including a rhino, cheetah, giraffe, crocodile, flamingo, zebra and lion. We’ll use stylized and realistic drawing techniques to bring these unique creatures to life! In this session, students will use collage, painting, drawing and scratch art, whilst having fun exploring the African savannah.
Dates: Sept. 9, 23, 30; Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28. Tuition is $80 for the 7 wks.
SECOND SESSION: ZENTANGLE DRAWING & CRAFTS
MAKE AN ORNAMENT AND GIFTS FOR YOUR FAMILY!
Let’s create beautiful images and holiday gifts by using repetitive patterns on paper; these patterns can be simple or complex, but they are always precise and intricate. The process is very calming and can be done anywhere with limited supplies. Benefits to learning Zentangle include increased focus and concentration, a way to relax and de-stress, improvement in fine motor skills, strengthening students’ connection with their creative side and the joy of making art. Students will love using mixed media with the dynamic projects and crafts our team at The Art Park has developed. This is the perfect class to take to make holiday gifts for your family!

THIRD SESSION: ANIMALS NOBODY LOVES
MAKE A MODELING CLAY SNAIL!
Students will draw, paint, sculpt and collage weird, gross or slightly unlovable animals such as a Man-of-War, hyena, vulture, tarantula, rattlesnake, great white shark and scorpion. In this session we will reveal the truth about natures’ most misunderstood animals and let our students decide what to really think about natures grossest, fiercest, and most fascinating survivors.
Dates: Jan. 27; Feb. 3, 17, 24; Mar. 3, 10, 24. Tuition is $80 for the 7 weeks.
FOURTH SESSION: MEDIEVAL TIMES
PAINT WITH ACRYLIC AND MAKE A CLAY NECKLACE!
Kings, Queens, dragons and knights oh my! Students will love learning about this interesting time period and creating art based on what life was like in the Middle Ages. Projects include a clay amulet necklace, drawing dragons and a knight, learn facial proportions to draw royalty, draw a realistic castle with pastel, use mixed media and draw a wizard, paint a juggling jester and use gold paint for details. Students will also enjoy hearing traditional stories, fairy tales and learning about castle life.
Dates: Mar. 31; Apr. 7, 14, 28; May 5, 12. Tuition is $70 for the 6 wks.
