Kid’s Day Out Summer
Come have a fun, enriching experience during summer break! Children will get creative rotating between art and craft stations, have center time, play outside weather permitting, participate in PE class, dance, twirling and/or music theatre. A variety of art materials will be used each day; dress in clothes that can get messy, wear tennis shoes and sunscreen. Bring a sack lunch, snacks and water bottle.
Meets 9:00-4:00 each day, geared for ages 4-12. Tuition is $45 per person per day.
Half Day Option: 9:00-12:30 (For students younger than Kindergarten age) Tuition is $30 per person per day.
July 29: Tie-Dye Bring a 100% white cotton t-shirt and wear clothes that can get messy/stained.
Aug. 5: Uni-Animals We will draw and craft all the cutest animals and ADD HORNS!!!
Aug. 12: Clay Day Use Model Magic air dry clay to make miniature animals or food.
KID’S DAY OUT at The Art Park
Come have a fun, enriching experience when school is out! At arrival, children will get creative making art and craft projects, participate in a Monart guided drawing, have center time and play outside weather permitting. In the afternoon children will rotate to two different businesses on campus such as Kelcy’s Dance Studio, PE or music. Children will participate in a variety of activities each day, dress in clothes that can get dirty. **ALL STUDENTS: Bring a backpack, lunch, snacks, water bottle, and coat/gloves/hat if cool outside, we go outside in most weather. Please make sure all items are labeled with names. Wear tennis shoes and dress for a mess.**
Half Day Option: 9:00-12:30, $30 per person (bring a lunch, we eat at 11:00)
Full Day Option: 9:00-4:00, $45 per person
Oct. 14: Fall science theme – pumpkin experiments and cute black cat watercolor painting.
Nov. 21: Clay day: learn how to marbleize clay to make into jewelry and animals.
Nov. 22: Use mixed media to draw forest animals and make a clay snail.
Nov. 23 (half day only): Turkey craft day! Your kiddos will love digging through our bins of materials to create a one of a kind turkey sculpture.
Dec. 19: Make a mosaic ornament and draw a cardinal with mixed media.
Dec. 20: Enjoy our different ornament making stations and draw a snowman with oil pastel.
Dec. 21: Make an angel or fairy character out of our bins of materials and draw a polar bear in clothes.
Dec. 22: Collage a Christmas tree and use stamps to print ornaments and make a yarn tree sculpture.
Dec. 23: Reindeer day! Draw, paint and create a 3D wooden reindeer sculpture.
Dec. 27: Blizzard and snow science experiments, print with homemade stamps and make slime!
Dec. 28: Lego Master Builders unite! Students will rotate between fun stations such as a self-portrait build, nerf gun mini-fig shooting range, earthquake building challenge, Olympics games, mini golf and more!
Dec. 29: Make a winter wonderland ornament scene with miniatures, gold and glitter.
Dec. 30: Make a small world sculpture of forest animals with miniature trees, people, animals and vegetation.
Jan. 2: Printmaking extravaganza! Make a giant stamp of an animal, print then color.
Jan. 3: Robot animal assemblage fun! Join us to put together a cute robot animal and create a drawing.
Jan. 16: Tinker Lab: Build and Paly! Tinker, build and play to make cool toys out of recycleables & junk!
Feb. 17: Clay day: use air dry clay to make a 3D donut sculpture and cute candies.
Feb. 20: Nature exploration: check out our cool insect specimens, make nature crayon rubbings, draw a a monarch butterfly and enjoy a visit from the Great Plains Nature Center.
Mar. 10: Hawaiian Vacation theme: volcano day! Draw a volcano with oil pastel, learn about the layers of planet Earth and participate in a Lego challenge build.
Mar. 13: Hawaiian Vacation theme: Hibiscus on mat board. Watercolor a hibiscus in a larger than life style.
Mar. 14: Hawaiian Vacation theme: Make cool crayon rubbings with texture plates & collage a Tiki totem.
Mar. 15: Hawaiian Vacation theme: Draw a Hawaiian dancer and color with Copic markers, students will enjoy making pineapple smoothies to eat.
Mar. 16: Hawaiian Vacation theme: Paint a dolphin and coral reef with watercolor and wax resist.
Mar. 17: Hawaiian Vacation theme: Draw beautiful birds of Hawaii including the Nene goose and I’iwi.
April 7: Collage your favorite animal in the style of Eric Carle and make a felt or foam 3D critter.
April 10: Lego build day! The focus will be on “things that go,” ramps and races.
May 25: Cyanotype art day! In this multi-step process students will use natural materials to create sun prints.
May 26: Lego architecture theme – students will enjoy rotating between building challenge stations and draw a building from a bird’s eye view.
May 30: Tinker Lab Build and Play! Make a vehicle out of recycleables and our bins of treasures.
May 31: Fun in the sun! Bring your swimsuit for fun water and sensory play on the playground.

New art lessons each day using different media, collage, air dry clay and craft projects. Come every day or attend which day(s) work for you. Half day and full day options available.
