MONART DRAWING CLASSES
AT ST. CATHERINE’S
Join us and learn the basics of drawing while experimenting with new media including markers, colored pencils, chalk and oil pastel, watercolor & more. This guided step-by-step method improves visual perception skills by breaking down the subject matter for students to see and follow along with. Everyone is successful in Monart classes!
Meets Thurs. 3:20-4:20, ages: 1st-5th grade, in the Art Rm.
FIRST SESSION: UNDER THE SEA PAINT A DOLPHIN ON CANVAS BOARD!
Draw and paint some of the coolest animals on Earth including a giant squid, manatee, trigger fish, dolphin and a coral reef scene. Students will enjoy lots of water media including wax pastels, water soluble graphite sticks, acrylic paint, watercolor and collage.
Dates: Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30; Oct. 7, 14, 28.
Tuition is $80 for 7 weeks.
SECOND SESSION: FANTASY CREATURES PAINT A DRAGON ON CANVAS BOARD!
This class is perfect for anyone that has an active imagination or likes to create their own fantastical beasts. Projects include a dragon, wizard, centaur, unicorn, mer-pets, make a fairy house, design a castle, paint an enchanted forest scene and create your own unique animals when we play a group game called “Creatures.”
Dates: Jan. 20, 27; Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24; Mar. 3, 10.
Tuition is $90 for 8 weeks.
