Music Theatre Summer Camps 2020

Mon.-Fri. 1:00-4:00pm Tuition $165 Ages 4-12

Students will gain confidence by working on vital performance skills in a playful environment. We will learn about lifelong skills such as diction, characterization, voice inflection, and facial expressions. The week will include themed music, acting, snacks and crafts. Parents! Come to our performance on Friday’s at 3:45pm complete with costumes and props. All money will be refunded if we must cancel class due to Covid-19.

June 15th to 19th -Rapunzel-Ages 6-12
Join us for our 15-minute scripted production of Rapunzel. Students will learn important audition skills, then have a chance to audition for 1 of 11 roles*. Our production will include costumes, props, and a small set. The week will also include Fairy Tale themed improv games and stage combat!


June 22nd to 26th -Dr. Seuss-Ages 4-8
Everyone loves Dr. Seuss! Join us for a week full of rhyming, silly characters, and whimsical fun. We will perform 2 Dr. Seuss skits and help even our youngest thespians feel comfortable on stage!

 

July 13th to 17th – Frozen 2 and Disney Karaoke-Ages 4-12 – Back by popular demand!

Let’s celebrate the Frozen movies with a Fall and Winter theme.
The highlight of the week is when we get to perform Disney Karaoke (individually or as a group) and choreographed dances!


July 20th to July 24 th -Detective Pikachu-Ages 4-12
Join us for a spy-themed class as we make our own spy gear and create our own Pokémon characters. Students will write and perform their very own story in the form of a 1950’s radio play complete with sound effects made by the students.
*If we have more than 11 students in the class, we will add another short play. EVERY student will get a part!

About the teacher-Miss Marcee


As long as she can remember Marcee has been involved in music and theatre. She has performed in over 50 shows, 2 films, several commercials and has been trained in puppetry and clowning. She is currently the Theatre Teacher/Director at the Classical School of Wichita and enjoys directing the musicals every year. She was recently nominated by “MTW” for a Jester award for “Outstanding Director” for her direction of Oklahoma! & A Christmas Carol.
