Each camp will include songs that will spark your child’s creativity, themed dances, improv games, basic acting skills and theatre language. This all happens in a fun and supportive environment that will help your child grow in their confidence and rhetoric skills. Videos will be taken throughout the camp and a glimpse of our activities for the week will be posted on our Facebook page. Bring a lunch and stay for the afternoon MONART ART CAMP for a full day of fun! No extra charge for the one-hour break between camps.
June 5-7 “Sing!”– Have you ever wanted to be a professional singer? Come do karaoke with us and learn the basics of good singing and performing.
June 12-14 “Pirates of the Caribbean”– Create your own pirate character, make pirate wounds with stage make-up and create a pirate battle by learning stage combat.
June 19-21 “Moana”– Are the islands speaking to you? Join us as we sing “Moana” songs, learn Polynesian dancing, make (temporary) tattoo’s come alive, and shapeshift into different animals.
June 26-28 “Trolls”-Let’s get happy! Turn into a troll for the week by creating your own name, personality, and troll story. Perform and party like the trolls by sining and dancing the day away.
July 10-12 “Beauty and the Beast”– Sing, dance and act out this classic story by learning about characterization, voice inflection, diction, hand/facial expressions and vital performance skills.
July 17-19 “Lego Batman”– Create your own superhero character with Legos, then act out a sequel story to the Lego Batman Movie. Learn how to speak with different accents and create your own cape.
July 24-26 “Who wants to race?”– Join us for a Cars 3 themed class as we make our car character come alive. Come be a part of the race of the year!
July 31-Aug 2 “Pete’s Dragon”– If you had a dragon for a pet what would it be like? Join us to create your dragon friend, then have fun turning into your dragon with costumes, masks, wings, stilts and more.
Aug 7-9 “Descendants 2”– Sometimes it’s fun to play the bad guy/gal! Create your own villain character and retell and perform a story from the villain’s point of view.
